PhD students in the field of Finance are invited to apply to the EFA Doctoral Events. These are pre-Annual Meeting events designed for doctoral students held before the 53rd EFA Annual Meeting in Ghent, Belgium (August 19-22, 2026) hosted at Vlerick Business School.

Doctoral Tutorial
The EFA Doctoral Tutorial (DT) is an intensive and competitive annual event intended for Finance students nearing completion of their PhDs who are about to enter the job market. The tutorial is held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Pre-EFA PhD Program – New Event!
The EFA is pleased to announce a new event for Doctoral Students. The program will run alongside the long-standing EFA Doctoral Tutorial and is part of a pilot effort to expand PhD training at the EFA.
The Pre-EFA PhD Program is aimed at 50 PhD students in the research phase of their doctorate (typically years 2–4) who are not yet on the job market. The program will be held beginning on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 18, 2026, and running through Thursday, August 20, 2026.
